Big problem - Colliders aren't manageable in Multi-mesh Props yet they are if converted to an avatar but Prop controller is gone for avatars
Problem 1. I have a soft cloth plane and a sphere merged because they both contain skin weights connected to each other. 2. When using the Prop Puppet tool, it only works with objects/non avatars with physics enabled - I can enable soft and rigid body for each within the multi-mesh prop but if one is set to soft cloth and the other rigid body, both are covered in a giant rigid body collider and then the whole merged mesh is influenced rather than components within.
Prop converted as an avatar will allow enabling of colliders, position, scale etc
Summery of issue: -Props made as Avatars can have colliders enabled, shape, scale etc but in iC8 the Prop Puppet tool isn't available why? -Multi-mesh Props/non characters can each have their own physics type but we can't scale , position the collider -it just surrounds the entire multi mesh prop - this seems like a bug or Devs didn't see this one coming, that it would be used like this.
The Prop Puppet tool should probably remain available for props added to characters or built into characters, some of my props are weight painted to another and need the Puppet controller.
Also please add the ability to control bones in the Prop Puppet with IK option, with the option to disable spring joints in the same window if needed but I'd like to move things into position with the puppet controller during recording but when manual movement is stopped, springs work/are enabled automatically. This is possible on characters using mocap that have spring joints enabled so why not on through an input device such as mouse movements?
Hi Ascensi,
1. -Props made as Avatars can have colliders enabled, shape, scale etc but in iC8 the Prop Puppet tool isn't available why?
--- Because Only prop can use Prop Puppet, avatar need to use Motion Puppet.I will forward your ideas to the R&D department.
Can you apture a screen video about other questions? Thanks.

A simple quick fix would be to enable collision shape for props under tools --> modify.
