In the pictures below, you can see that the most obvious difference between the original character and the remeshed character is the hair. It looks very different. That is because the remeshed character has no Opacity map for the hair.
When you do the remesh, the Opacity map needs to be...More

For distant crowds, we can almost just use thumbnails. I think 256 is probably as small as we would ever want....More

Title says it all, but I'm attaching a link to a video which shows the problem.

Note that even with the other slider (the weight slider) turned all the way to 1/10 it still does this (appears to be removing faces rather than painting). I...More

Okay, so apparently all clothing other than the bra and panty that come with CC3 won't allow you to export at any resolution size (an insanely useful thing to have).
I've actually never seen this selection available until Rampa said he saw it and then I tried it on the default figure and it...More

Bringing Daz clothing in through Transformer the clothes are not weight mapped properly, and this causes three issues: One, remesher doesn't work, two, physics don't work, and three clothing and skin layers poke through each other.
Here's a video link explaining the whole thing:

On the Cloth Layer settings when you go to drag layers to sort orders, there is no way to expand that window horizontally (you can vertically) and this is a real issue when your layers have longer names that can be listed (I could only sort layers by trial and error since even the yellow layer...More

Remesher doesn't work, plain and simple -- it should be gotten rid of (it won't work on any skirts/dresses/longcoats). What we need is a simple way to create a low-poly avatar, one that gets rid of whatever it is that bloats the "normal" avatar (a Daz FBX character with full clothing clocks...More

Not quite sure how to sum it up, but basically any character with a skirt or dress, when you remesh it in the avatar export, you end up with the item all messed up.
Here's a small example -- take this into Transformer, then export via the avatar and choose remesh and with ANY options there...More

About half the time Daz clothing comes in needing two sided materials (just due to the way devs construct clothing). Sometimes it's obvious (and I'll put a link to one where it is) but other times you don't notice it unless you look closely at the underside of a collar, or the cuff on a long...More

Pretty well says it all -- I export an avatar (with or without remeshing) and the weight maps don't export with it. Now -- this is a HUGE issue if I DO remesh -- so I'm also combining that as a problem here (does this mean that you can't have cloth physics on remeshed avatars? If so, that...More
