Issue 11818
Skin Weight Editing for dynamics inside Character Creation
Subject: Feature Request: Skin Weight Editing in iClone & Character Creator
Dear Reallusion Team,
I would like to request a skin weight editing feature directly within iClone and Character Creator, making it easier to refine character deformations and control dynamic cloth behavior.
Feature Request: Skin Weight Editing Inside iClone & Character Creator
Currently, some aspects of skin weight editing exist in Character Creator, but they are limited, especially when trying to fine-tune dynamics for clothing such as pants, skirts, or dresses. Instead of relying on external tools, it would be incredibly useful to have a built-in skin weight editor that allows direct adjustments inside iClone and Character Creator.
Proposed Improvements:
Direct Skin Weight Painting in iClone & Character Creator
Ability to paint or adjust vertex weights for better control over deformations.
Advanced Weighting for Dynamic Clothing
Fine-tune weight distribution for pants, skirts, and dresses to achieve better physics interactions.
Real-Time Preview & Adjustments
See the effects immediately in the viewport, ensuring smoother and more natural movements.
Why This Matters:
Eliminates reliance on external tools like Blender or Maya for weight adjustments.
More control over character and clothing deformation within Reallusion’s ecosystem.
Better dynamic behavior for pants, skirts, and dresses, preventing unwanted stretching or clipping.
This feature would greatly improve workflow efficiency and enhance the quality of animations inside iClone and Character Creator.
Thank you for your consideration!
