Issue 11891
Please do not ever abandon perpetual licenses
I see the trend of offering some features and content under a subscription model, and it makes me a bit concerned that in the future that will be the only thing offered. I'm guessing a lot of customers share this same concern. We have seen it again and again in the industry.
I want Reallusion to be successful and thrive. I really appreciate the value in the tools and content, but if Reallusion had been predominantly subscription-based when I first discovered Character Creator and iClone, I probably wouldn't be writing this message because I wouldn't have become a customer. Please don't follow the trajectory of so many companies who have made perpetual licenses a distant memory.
If possible, I would like to see AccuPose offered under a perpetual license as well as a subscription. Perhaps owning the specific motion libraries used for parts of the training could play a part in that. I want to use that feature more, but I am naturally resistant to subscriptions. They don't serve my purpose.
I am very fond of Reallusion as a company, and the products it offers. I have nothing against the company making a healthy profit. I just want to know that there will be a place for me, and people like me, in the future.
