Iray export is buggy with certain characters
1. Exporting the scene stars the bug
2. In iClone 7, I have also had problems with this model, only it would simply STOP exporting and freeze until I reloaded the character. That doesn't help here.
3. The actual export will likely show him walking away along with his head, but his eyes will stay behind.

The armored model on the left has various bugs on export. The man inside the armor shows. I have reduced his opacity so that he doesn't show as displaced in the render. You can't see his eyes here, but in the Iray export, his eyes will show as distortions. They don't animate with the avatar. As you can see in the third rendered image, he can lean into them. They don't move.
