Human_Template.SVG has no layers/objects in the file (Inkscape)
When I am opening the CTA template file "Human_Template.SVG" in Inkscape 1.2 or 1.2.2 there are no layers/objects. all objects are in a group. All objects/layers are in the root SVG file.
As I found in some forum is, that group to layer is not supportet, when the file was not directly created in Inkscape(-SVG). Check out the internet linki: https://inkscape.org/forums/beyond/object-not-in-any-layer/

Maybe the template Reallusion provide is also not directly created in Inkscape.
In other words: Importing/Open Human_Template.SVG in Inkscape including not any layer, all objects are in *root* and grouped. There is no navigation between these objects in Inkscape possible.

So the template is not usable at the moment or do you have some workaround?

PS: Inkscape 1.0 is working it took all layers in the objects section. But Inkscape 1.2 it is not shown in the opject section (check out screenshot).

Dear Allen,

I found some soluten for my problem, I don`t really know how it works now exactly.
For SVG layers are not working, you need to group it.
But also groups were not visible in Inkscape from my side in "Human_Template.svg" or other example files (Version 1.2.2):

- Simply wait some seconds until the group layers will show, they need a little bit time to load it or something.
- If this not works, go to "groups and layers", create a layer, change this empty layer to a group. Try out some points on the "right-click" side menu on the empty group layer. Maybe try for
  example "enter group"

Sorry for this inconvenience. The ticket could be closed.

Dear Allen,

I tested your advice but honestly it is not working. I made the steps throug like you said (importing svg). But there are still no layers in the template file. Maybe I understand something wrong? But I saw for example in some other example files (of CTA in PDF-instruction) of other graphic programms, that there are layers. For example I saw in Adobe from pictures from Reallusion, that there are layers.

I tried different ways of importing svg file. But the human template itself has no layers.
For example, if I create an eye, I can not put it in some predefiened "folder/layer".

Workaround is maybe to put every arm, ear, eye etc. in myself created layers - but I don`t know if it will work afterwards.

Hi BrandyDE,

1. Go to "Menu > Edit > Preferences > Imported Images" and check "Ask about linking and scaling when importing SVG images"
2. Go to "Menu > File > Import": Choose svg file to pop up SVG Input Dialog
3. SVG Input Dialog : Select options other than "Embed the SVG file in an image tag" or "Link the SVG file in an image tag"
