There should be a proper templates screen when you click on Create Character. Right now, there are only two options. There should be a screen that lets you choose the options for the character. For example, you could load up a template with a character with bone hands or load up a free bone or wings character.
I also wanted to add the templates purchased from the content store would appear here like the head and hair tools. The link will point to the content store where the user could buy templates like the ones for the hair and head tools.
