The AE export from CTA5 is a great feature, however with Adobe's pricing, other NLE alternatives would be great. I know we can export transparent MOVs or image sequences, but one still has to re-construct the entire scene upon importing those assets into a different environment. This isn't efficient. I have seen the results (via YouTube) of the AE export and then importing into AE and it's great. But AE is expensive, and there are other great alternatives out there.
This is also true for trying to use Blender of UnrealEngine to enhance the end video. Because it cannot import the entire scene, camera and all, one spends a lot of time re-constructing the scene.
For hobbyists, the free Davinci Resolve is a great post editing NLE, and even rivals AE in some regards. I know the Studio version of DR ($395, still cheaper than AE in the long run) supports Lua and Python scripting. I'd like to see a plugin that can import an exported scene very much as the AE plugin in AE does. I know plugins are possible in UE and Blender (in fact don't you already have iClone to Blender & UE plugins?)
