Issue 7249
Program Won't Open Complains about DX11 Graphics Card
The program no longer runs. It complains that I don't have a DX11 compatible graphics card. I have a GeForce GTX 1060 card with 6GB and the program has always worked with this card before. However, I recently have attached a second monitor that is being driven by an Intel HD graphics Card. In this scenario, the Intel display is identified by Windows as ID 1 and my other display driven by GeForce is ID 2. The GeForce display is checked as being the Main Display.

However, it seems likely that the CC3 program is recognizing the ID 1 display adapter and disqualifying it.

OK, so I finally got this to work and there are some strange things to report. Before I decided to re-install, the Reallusion Hub showed CC3 with a grayed out Install button and the version was 3.22. The Updates tab said there were no updates available. And I would run the app from the desktop icon and it would fail as reported before.

Now, apparently, even though the Install button was grayed out, it allowed me to click it and install. Once done, I had a nice shiny new 3.44 version. So much for no updates being available. Also, the Install button was gone and now it says Open.

So there was definitely something very strange going on. Once I'm done with working on some characters I will try reinstalling my Intel device and see if it'll continue to work.

I really need to use this now so I've gone all in on getting it to run. However, nothing has worked. I have completely unplugged the second monitor, disabled and even uninstalled the Intel graphics device/driver and updated my nVidia driver to the latest. It still complains it can't run with the same error. I am now trying to reinstall the CC3 application to see if that helps. But, as you can see from the attached image, my graphics card supports up to DX12.

When I leave only the monitor with Intel graphics plugged in then it doesn't do anything. The program doesn't launch and there isn't even an error box. Once I saw the program running in Task manager, but after a few seconds it went away.

No, I do not have Smart Gallery installed.

Hi Magique,

Did you installed Smart Gallery?
If so, please try to uninstall it to see if CC will launch successfully.

No, it doesn't. If it did then I would have definitely used it that way. The only way I can use 2 monitors is by using the separate video cards.

Hi Magique,

Thanks for your reply.
Did your GTX 1060 have other socket such as HDMI or VGA or DVI?
Could you plug both monitor to same Graphic card to see if CC launched successfully?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Magique,

Only turn off monitor won't change the Windows Display setting.
Please try to disconnect the wire of monitor to make sure it was the multiple screen caused the issue.
Thanks for your help!

Sorry, I've been too busy with job and other things. I tried by simply turning off my main monitor and leaving only the Intel card monitor on and it would not launch. But I don't know if the main monitor needs to be completely disconnected to be a valid test.
