List of disadvantages coming from a 3D app
Hello Reallusion team,

I am a relatively new user of CTA, but I am not new to animating (using 3ds Max for about 20 years, After Effects, Flash and others). I have not used every aspect of CTA 5 yet, but working with it let me come across several shortcomings. Maybe I have just not find the right function yet here and there, I just put the things, I have come across, in a list, maybe you can find something useful for future versions - it sure would be useful for me. :-)

- no curve editor
- no transition curves for 360 head, face, fingers
- no setting of different default transition
- no setting of transition curves on multiple keys on different tracks at once
- transition curve window cannot stay open when clicking a different key
- the playhead jumps with every click anywhere in the tracks, it should only move when left clicked in the timeline itself (!)
- no automatic scrolling when trying to make a bigger selection of keys
- there is only one camera
- no possibility to overwrite when rendering to object sequences, so it always creates a new folder, which breaks the link to the comp in AE
- it is sometimes confusing which tracks in the timeline are visible, which are hidden
- it can be confusing which tracks get automatic keys from a certain change and which not, often leaving keys behind, when moving keys of single tracks
- no animation of bone scale or z-value
- without finding a reason, some vector objects look always fine, even when zoomed closely with the camera, and some get heavily aliased
- strange transitions of bone fingers
- no change of frame rate (apart from export), very annoying when trying to synch animation with an AE comp with a different frame rate
- some motions show a preview in the content managar, some don't
- no lens effects like depth of field or motion blur
- sometimes feels slow, status bar long time not appearing (e.g. putting a character from content to stage, change to character composer and back)
- hand pose editor does not show the current pose of a hand
- no automatic jump to track of selected bone or not always right
- no possibility to select all keys on a frame at once
- no navigation of the scene, while motion key editor is open
- once you changed a face sprite manually (e.g. mouth), the face templates do not change the mouth anymore
- the animation windows (like Motion Key Editor, Sprite Editor) close, when saving, and have to be ropenened again to continue
- can't switch camera on/off while motion key editor is open
- no custom poses in hand pose editor
- frame numbers on the timeline not legible in every zoom state
- would be easier to see the basic transition style (linear/smooth) directly from key shape (like AE)
- no undo labels, so there is written, what would be undone by clicking
- cannot replace footage like in AE, so just the source changes, but every transformation stays intact
- cannot mute voice tracks
- cannot change size of some windows, e.g. face key detail settings to see all elements without scrolling
- lots of strange behaviours here and there, e.g. bone hands, set Apply to one hand, it still affects both hands; I had disappearing parts of limbs during movement; lots of crashes without error, doing the same again without crash; non-moveable keys; head gizmo on the wrong side, when mirroring a character; Movement still there after deleting all visible keys, cant find the correlated keys;
