Headlamps on camera wan work magic, and reduce workflow. Try the feature out in Daz. Use it with an offset. It will save hours on setup for some scenes, or add just that slight punch you need on a scene that's just not right.
For that matter, it would greatly help us intuitively set up spotlights if we could see through the spotlight, like we can with Daz. But if I could have a camera with a headlamp, I'll gladly substitute a lit camera for a spotlight.
The link here is to an old animation made with Daz. The background was lit to taste with one distant light, and the headlamp did the rest for whatever I pointed it at.
