Issue 8745
Flattening clip breaks animation
Here's how it looks:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0QiJWnVW4w

How / what I've done
- applied motion 1 to the character
- applied motion 2 at the end of motion 1
- cut a bit from motion 2 beginning
- adjusted motion 2 beginning for a convenient transition
- merged the two clips. The keys seen in video are those generated in that transition area.
- applying clip flattening is breaking the animation
Happened in all IC8.x, didn't happen in IC7

Glad you posted this, this happens to me all the time as well so I've stopped using the flatten command altogether and haven't gotten around to reporting this issue.

My current workaround to flatten a clip is to:
- highlight the desired range in Collect Clip in the timeline
- right click
- click "Add Motion to Library"
- clear the animation from the timeline
- add the animation back to the timeline from the motion library folder, at which point the clip will have been flattened and still retains the proper data

Definitely not ideal, a huge waste of time, hopefully they fix this one soon as it is an extremely useful feature.
