Critical: Issues with Blend Shape Integration from Character Creator to Wonder Studio
Dear Reallusion Support Team,
I am currently experiencing an issue with porting a Character Creator (CC) character to Wonder Studio, particularly with transferring the blend shapes needed for facial animation.
Wonder Studio’s current version does not support CC characters correctly. While Wonder Studio uses 83 FACS (Facial Action Coding System) blendshapes for facial animation, the standard CC Extended profile contains a larger number of blendshapes. Consequently, it is unclear how to correctly match the pairs.
Despite writing a script to rename morphs, the Wonder Studio plugin for Blender still indicates missing blend shapes during export and validation, leading to improper facial animation.
Previously, in an earlier version of Wonder Studio, I successfully uploaded a character with the classic morph naming from Character Creator, and everything worked correctly. This suggests that the necessary technical capability for proper integration already exists.
To assist with this, I have attached files demonstrating my attempts to match the morph pairs, as well as videos showing the current performance of my character. One video shows a character uploaded a year ago, which works correctly, while the other demonstrates the issues with the recent upload.
I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you could provide to address this issue.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Voogie
