Character Creator: Appearance Editor greyed out
I would like to create fabric materials with the appearance editor as shown here:
https://www.reallusion.com/character-creator/pbr-physically-based-rendering.html

But the appearance editor is greyed out, even when I select clothes.

OK, I got it. There is a button that I didn't even notice. I suggest that this button is the standard button and that useful defaults are used for all models and their materials - e.g., CC_PBR_Cloth_V1_7MAT.
