I monitored what windows does in that moment, it appears that CC locates thousands of ccsliders on each start. If you provide me with info where the slider cache should be located i can have a look if it exists at all.
Understood. I will relay the situation we discussed to our dev team and ask them to investigate and address the issue. Thank you. Tina
The file does exist (more then 20000 entries) and CC renews it when shutting down. (On start it scans for all 22000 ccliders again) Someone in the forum https://discussions.reallusion.com/t/character-creator-4-52-official-issues-thread/12824/52?u=k_digital says this is normal. I thought (and others as well) "one time operation" is meant to built a cache file that CC will refer on next program start (in order to start faster) , not when creating a character like said in the forum. Could you make a statement on this ?
Hello, i de and re installed the characters pack without suscess, the message still appears on each program start.
ooops i replied in the wrong window i guess, please read the other reply as well. Thanks
Hello Tina, When i start CC it loads an empty scene.
Okay, thanks for your help. Our engineer mention that if setting a default project with a character may cause this issue, could you check if your default project is empty scene or include character? If it's caused by the default project, this will be fixed in future version. Thank you. Tina
Hello, thank you for your report. We are currently unable to reproduce this issue in our environment. However, you can try reinstalling the "Characters" pack under Content > Free Resource, as it contains a large number of morph sliders. Rebuilding the related cache might help resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please let us know. Thank you. Tina
I also believe it should be a one-time operation. The cache would be saved somewhere locally and loaded every time CC4 needed it. Increasing the speed of program startup.
