Issue 11687
Azimuth and altitude
1. Lock axis says look axis on modify panel.

2. Azimuth and altitude seem to be switched. When locking prop on y axis, setting the altitude limit to 0 while looking at x axis on other prop, the prop that does the looking rotates in a vertical direction and doesn't rotate in a horizontal direction. From my understanding of altitude, that seems backwards to me.

3. MOST IMPORTANTLY
The look at function follows the world position instead of the local position of the prop. This limits your animations to only work when sitting flat on the xy surface grid. With the way it is currently coded, your prop will not work if it is sitting at an angle or if it's attached to another prop or character that positions that prop to be at an angle.

Please re target the lock axis to the local position of the prop without the world position overwriting the local position when the prop is rotated as the look at function still looks at the other prop.

For example. A hing with look at function activated and a 0 limit set on the azimuth or altitude will not function correctly if hing is rotated on an angel other than 0 or 360 degrees.

In this ZIp folder, there is a video and prop. The video goes in detail about what is going wrong... You can use the included prop to follow along... If you do, you will have to change the lock axis on the first hing on the left and right side as shown in the video because for some reason iclone would not save it correctly. I tried multiple times. But anyways. I have tried this on multiple props and I get the same issue every time. The lock axis is even labeled wrong in the program. That should be checked out as well. That could be part of the issue, especially if the code is looking for the lock axis and it is labeled as the look axis. I mention that in the video. The biggest issue is that the azimuth and altitude limits do not function correctly when the whole prop is rotated. When the whole prop is rotated, the local axis rotates with it. If the azimuth and altitude follow and target the local axis of the prop as the manual states, then I would not be having this issue when I rotate the whole prop. I will give you the link to the manual where is states that. The azimuth and altitude limits are found when you use the look at function.

I really need to speak with someone in the Dev Team about this because Customer Support has been NO HELP.... I've been trying to explain this to Mike for over 3 months now and I'm about to pull out my hair with the dumb responses that I get from him.

This is a link to the manual explaining how it should work. It says the azimuth and altitude targets and uses the local axis of the prop...
