Issue 6645
Any plan to implement a mesh-based collision system like in Maya?
The current collision system for clothing/hair is just not workable in a realistic pipeline. Having to create, position, test out manually dozens of collision shapes for every single character and every single piece of dynamic object is what keeps iClone7 from being a valuable asset in a professional animation pipeline. Implementing a mesh-based collision system, like Maya has, where the collision bounding box is an exact, or approximate match to the passive collider mesh, would drastically speed up the pipeline, and make iClone7 a far more valuable product.
From earlier threads, i understand this issue has been brought up since at least 2017. Could we have an idea of the level of priority for such feature to be at least considered in the foreseeable future?
