Hey. This is an old post, but I have the same problem in iClone8 on 6/6/24. I imported my MD Alembic file into Blender and then exported it, and now it works in iClone 8. For anyone having the same issue.

Okay, so when I save, it gets stuck at 93% and then crashes. I then selected to restore the project, and it came up as an empty project. Hi clone_rep, I'm vary glad that you found a solution, but I still hope you can provide the Alimebic file to us,hope we can fix it so that you can directly load it into iClone. Molly Reallusion
Hi Molly. Thanks for the quick response. I know this sounds crazy. But I had an idea that, maybe, by putting in the working alembic file from Blender, it could possibly "jumpstart" iClone's ability to read the next alembic file I put in, and to my shock and surprise, IT WORKED!!!!!!! So importing the exported file from MD works now. I will test to see if it saves next. CRAZY!
