You create and edit facial expressions inside the facial profile editor including lips (you sculpt them to what ever you like) The face editor is not to make editing permanent which is a good thing - having separate areas helps to avoid mistakes. One thing I'd like to have is the ability to hear the sound on loop next to each viseme image because not all images give us a clear representation of what the vowel sound, sounds like, often it's like a guessing game. Face key --> modify tab should list your custom morphs (you can make the vowels custom morphs just by putting a viseme to max then press custom morph. It would be nice to have the vowels automatically show there in CC4 but in iC8, you can select them for the expressions track but only if there is voice added otherwise you will have to rely on creating custom morphs from Visemes and that will show in iC8 without voice track. About Acculips, you mean create a record session within CC4 to test? You can drag and drop any saved animation clip including one that has voice onto your character.
