Issue 5869
3DXchange should support newer Sketchup versions
Trimble has made a change to 3DWarehouse, such that only Sketchup models in versions 2017, 2018, and 2019 can be downloaded.

None of these versions are supported by 3DXchange; the latest supported version is Sketchup 2015.

It would be great if 3DXchange were to be updated so that the latest Sketchup versions are supported.

It is waaaaay past time to address this issue.

It is now 2021, and we can't even open a 5-year old file saved in the year 2016?

P.S.
And we are still stuck in 32-bit mode too.

I used this frequently to bring props into Iclone . Please put some resource into updating this.

As there are now a number of comments that are clearly spam, it would be good if we could flag those for removal as we can do on the forum.

Just to add my two cents worth, I am currently following the iClone tutorials made by Reallusion on Udemy. They point to a Sketchup file to use as part of the training, but it is now only available as a 2017 or 2018 skp, so I totally support to this. And, as an aside, I can not proceed with the tutorials kindly provided on Udemy.

Hi Donnie,

Thank you for that suggestion. I think the only big issue with that solution is that SketchUp Make 2017 is a timed-trial, and will only function for 30 days? If that is the case, then that might not be able to be considered a long term solution?

Thank you for giving our concerns some thought and helping us figure out a solution!
