3DX needs a better UI, save layout, drag expand, shortcut keys, etc.
Other than the obvious of homogenizing the look of the UI with iClone, it needs a major upgrade and new features.
- Undo should work with all aspects. - Savable workspace layout. There should be specific panels for props or characters and offer saveable layouts. -Expression editor needs to be a workspace layout that utilizes the full screen. -Expression editor is missing key shortcuts, such as tab and arrow keys should allow faster access to inputting values. -Scene tree can be hidden or pull expanded. -In the Characterization Profile the test motions need to be more thorough as I still find errors in rigs because it doesn't address possible errors such as single finger bending, spine curving, etc. Alternately there needs to have a load animation for testing. -Wireframe should be available at any time. -Wireframe over mesh option needed. -Spring testing should show spring bones during animation playback. -Import spring settings should include settings for Group settings for Mass, Strength, Bounciness. -Dual view windows to see front and side or front and rear, etc.
