Linking
to external files or URLs
Talking Slide supports HTML tags in the description text
area, enabling you to include a Website or an external file
in your slide show. For example, use the following HTML
code in the description text box to insert Web content in
your slide show:
<iframe id=IFrame0 frameborder=1 scrolling=Yes style='height:340;
width:480;' src='https://www.reallusion.com/'><iframe>
The SRC variable can be linked to a URL, or a MS Word,
Excel, PowerPoint file, or an Adobe PDF file. You can also
link to a particular heading in your document by using this
code:
SRC='file://test.doc#heading'
Reducing file size
Before uploading your presentation to a Website, you can
reduce the file size for faster uploads. To reduce file
size, do the following:
- Select a small size for the template.
- When using custom templates, do not select an image
file for the background. Instead, select color as the
background.
- While exporting HTML, set the sound quality to low and
reduce the image quality as much as possible.
Modifying templates
For advanced use, you can modify the templates as required.
The template files are easily available from the C:\Program
Files\reallusion\TalkingSlide\Template folder. To modify
the elements of each template, do the following:
- To change the template background, replace the 1-01.jpg
file with your own.
- To change the control buttons, replace Play.jpg, stop.jpg,
next.jpg and back.jpg files with your own.
- To change the fonts, click Ctrl+Shift+E to edit the
Style Sheet for description, heading, and subtopic text.
- To change the layout, open the template.htm file using
Macromedia Dreamweaver or a similar HTML editor.
- Drag the components such as MainTopicLayer, SubTopicLayer
and so on to change the layout of the file as desired.
- To change the Talking Head, media and list areas,
edit the source code of the file. The variables included
in xxxLayer(62, 55, 163, 163, %_LC); define the top,
left, width and height of the respective layer (where
xxx stands for the layer name). Change the values
to re-position and re-size the Talking Head.
