1)
During installation I am asked for a product serial
number, I don't have one
You do not require a product serial number to
run the trial version of our software. When installing
any Reallusion products if you enter the words
'trial version' as the serial number and the software
will install with some features restricted. If
you wish to later upgrade and un-lock any restricted
features you simply are required to enter a valid
product serial number which you will receive if
you purchase via our online store. You can visit
our online store at: https://www.reallusion.com/purchase.asp
In short, simply type 'trial version'
for your product serial number.

During installation "error: RPC.STUB incompatible,
install will now terminate"
This appears to be a common problem caused by
Microsoft releasing a new dll that is not compatible
with Win98. Some developers have made an installer
which includes this dll, thereby destroying your
system. Here is a fix:
Download: https://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0/WIN98/EN-US/mcrepair.EXE
Then run it, and when it prompts
you to overwrite newer files, make sure you click
YES for each file (not "No" or "No
to all"). This will replace all of the 3.50 DLLs
from XP with older versions compatible with Windows
98 (2.40.4515).
This patch works for Win98 users.

Do I need to download again after purchasing
After purchasing TalkingSlide you do not need
to download the version from the online store.
If you already are running TalkingSlide in Trial
mode you can visit the online activation page:
http://activation.reallusion.com/talkingslidese/setup.htm
This will then run TalkingSlide
in standard mode with all the functions enabled.

What options are there for viewing slideshows
I have created
Your slideshows can be viewed locally from your
own PC or the files can be uploaded to your website
to share with your friends. An export to CD option
is available which prepares the files so you can
copy & distribute the files on a CD.

6)
Can I use my own photo as a talking character
in the slideshow
Yes, using CrazyTalk v3.5, you can create talking
photos from your own photo collection. The CrazyTalk
product should be purchased seperately.
At this moment, CrazyTalk4.5 is not compatible
with TalkingSlide 1.1.

7)
Does the target PC require any supporting files
If viewing locally or using the export to CD option
the viewer does not require to install any additional
files to view your slideshow.
When publishing to the Internet
a viewer will be required to install a small plug-in
used to animate the talking character. This is
only required the first time they view a slideshow.

When exporting to HTML the pop-up window still
appears
When exporting HTML files a license ID is added
within the script, if this license ID is not present
or does not match the domain URL where the page
is loaded from then the pop-up window will appear.
The ID is based on the domain where
the HTML page will be hosted. You can enter the
domain url in the advanced settings found in the
save dialog box during the export process.

9)
Exporting HTML works on my Desktop, but the screen
is blank after FTPing to my website
The most likely problem is the data files (.TPS
& .TJM) are not present on your web site, either
you have not uploaded these to your web site of
they are in the incorrect directory. TalkingSlide
uses 2 data files during playback these are a
.TJM Talking Image file (your character) and a
.TPS Talking Message file (your speech).
When you created your HTML page
copies of these 2 files would have been saved
in the same directory as the generated HTML file.
