Stretching Legs (for Pro only)

In the Fine-Tuning the Pose of the Converted Character section, you are able to modify the feet height so that they align to the ground. However, the knees may sometimes bend especially when the character stands under the horizon once the characterization procedure completes. By adjusting the height of the contact planes for the feet, the legs will stretch.

  1. Make sure that you are in the characterization procedure and the Active box is enabled.
  2. Change the 3D viewer to the Orthogonal mode (Shortcut: Ctrl + Q).
  3. Adjust the Height values in the Property tab to determine the height of the feet.

Adjust the Height value to relocate the position of the feet.

    The knees bend.

  4. Switch to the Floor Contact tab. You will see light blue boxes that form the contact planes.
  5. Adjust the height of the contact planes to the soles of the feet, you will then see the character's legs stretch.

Note:

For more information about contact planes, please refer to the Setting the Floor Contact Planes for the Hands and Feet section.
