Exporting Static Props to Maya, Max, DAZ, Blender, Shade, Unity and Unreal

With 3DXchange, you are able to export any model as a static prop to other 3D tools, including Maya, 3DS Max, DAZ4, Blender, Shade, Unity, and Unreal, which are recently supported.

Exporting in OBJ format

The OBJ 3d format is broadly supported by enormous 3D tools. You may export models into this format to load the models as static props into most of these tools. After they are loaded, the meshes of it can then be re-edited to form a prop with an ideal shape.

  1. Import a model contains mesh only.
  2. Execute the File > Export to Other 3D Format > Export OBJ... command.
  3. In the Export OBJ panel, determine the Up Axis of the target 3D tool that the exported static prop is going to be loaded, and select a destination folder for storing this OBJ file. Please refer to the Exporting an OBJ File section for more information about the settings in the panel.
  4. Click the OK button to export the model.
  5. Import the OBJ file into the 3D tools.

Exporting in FBX format

The FBX 3d format is widely used for 3D data exchange. You may export models into this format to load the models as static props into most of these tools. After they are loaded, the meshes of it can then be re-edited to form a prop with an ideal shape.

  1. Import a model contains mesh only.

  3. In the Export FBX panel, set the settings for exporting the model. Please refer to the Exporting an OBJ File section for more information about the settings in the panel.
  4. Click the OK button to export the model.
  5. Import the FBX file into the 3D tools.
