Adrian Helmet - Model 1916 - "Zouave" Harlem Hellfighters Edition
The history of the
"Harlem Hellfigthers" is as legendary as it is unknown to the general public. This unit of African-American fighters was known for showing exceptional courage in battle. They also had a rather heterogeneous military kit: US, English and especially French. The Adrian helmet, reputed to protect effectively the head of the soldier at the time of the impacts of crushing (bombardment of artillery in particular), was the endowment of the majority of the Afro-American troops engaged at the time of the great war. It was a helmet with a special emblem: that of the French colonial Muslim "Zouaves" units (with the symbol of the crescent moon and its "sand" color).
The heroic epic of the "Harlem Hellfighters" is above all a little-known and almost forgotten story of the Great War and deserves a hearty tribute.
Note that you also have an adjustable chin strap with up to 7 levels of deformations to adapt it to any type of face.
