I am trying to create a face from a photo 360 ... but I do not own PHOTOSHOP. O do however own several programs that produce photoshop files and import photoshop files with layers. BUT cartoon animator will not accept these files... even when i tell the programs to produce an 8 bit psd file.
MY question is.... why do you not use PNG FILES that can be imported and floated like OBJECTS that a lot of other programs use and can layer... this would be far more universal and easier to create and replace parts of the sets and faces. for those who do not own photoshop or want to pay their extreme prices.
In fact, Cartoon animator 4 has this feature.
You can follow this tutorial to do your 360 head.

You can try the Krita, this is a free PSD editor and compatible with Cartoon Animator.
If your PSD file cannot import Cartoon animator, you can attach a file on the Feedback Tracker, we can help to further confirm.
