Issue 3384
rendering progress bar - displayed value mismatch
Hello RL,

I started to render a project and the progress bar started from 48% at frame 1 (half way....).
Attached is a picture that shows the issue.

I think it should be fixed

Hi,

thanks for the reply.
OK, there are some process to be done, but what we see, as users, is that 0 to 40% is reached in a fraction of seconds, whereas the rest of the rendering progresses much slower.
I think the progress bar should display something more homogeneous, or at least it could be split into 2 phase or, even better, duplicated by showing 2 progress bars:

- pre-rendering process (0-100%)
- rendering process (0-100%)

I take the opportunity to ask for a feature that can be very useful when the rendering is very long and it sinks a lot of computer resources: the possibility to add a pause-resume control.

Regards

Hi, Roberto,

There are some process to be done before it goes into the render stage, and they take about 40% of overall working, that's why the first frame does not start with 0%.
We will consider this issue as a suggestion.

Thank you for reporting this issue.
