Hi, Did you get an answer to your question? I have just done this with Kinect Xbox 360 with iClone 7 on a Windows 10 laptop. I thought that it could work via Motion LIVE Plug-in set up in iClone, but it doesn't work that way..... It is a multi-step process...... First, you have to load Kinect Xbox 360 software and get that to work on its own, independently of iClone. [I used the Kinect Mocap Plug-in - Windows v1.2 program] Then, once you click on the icon for this, the window for the Kinect Xbox 360 will open. You now have to calibrate your Kinect Xbox 360 - Click 'Connect', then 'Calibrate', take the 'H Position', where you stand upright with your arms up on each side of you, flexed at each elbow and wait for each of the icons on the left-hand-side of the screen to turn green. There is a count-down with big red numbers srating at 4 and working down to 0. Once the count-down is complete, then the tope 4 icons should be green Once that is done, open iClone and open a Character of our choice. Once the Character is loaded, open Motion LIVE Plug-in and click on the 'Character' box. All of the other MOCAP devices can be opened from within Motion LIVE Plug-in, but not Kinect Xbox360! What you now have to do is to go to the main iClone window and click on the 'Animation' icon and you should then see that 'Device MOCAP' should be highlighted in the drop-down menu. [Note that 'Device MOCAP' will be greyed out if you try this without having gone through the Motion LIVE Plug-in route!] Click on 'Device MOCAP' and a new window will open. Now, click on 'Connect' and select the 'Local' button if the Kinect is plugged in to your laptop. Then, choose 'Full Body' or 'Upper Body' and click on 'Preview' just to see if your Character moves in the iClone window when you move. Finally, when you are ready to capture any animation, click on the red 'Record' button..... You should see your body and its skeleton move on the Kinect Xbox 360 window and see the Character move in the iClone window at the same time. If all is good, the movements of the two will be in unison! Otherwise, you will have to tweak some of the settings........ particularly the 'Smoother' slider. When you record, you will see the timeline tag move across as the recording takes place. At the end, 'Stop' the recording and then save your file under 'Save' or 'Save As'....... Hope this is of help to you!
Hi khyron.allen, We need more information in order to help you. Which step that does not work? A screen capture about the error would be very useful. Which version of Kinect runtime have you installed? v1.7, v1.8 or v2.0 above? Please also provide your system information by referring to the link below: https://www.reallusion.com/FeedBackTracker/Home/HowToGet You can attach system information to your next private comment.
