Issue 7717
iClone iRay hardly using GPU Quadro 5000 RTX Max-Q
When I render on my second laptop rendering goes very slow and only shows 25-30% load on the GPU, which it surely shouldn't on a 6 core cpu providing data to the gpu.

It also seems to use the intel gpu, also around 25%, which I'd expect to remain unused (not a problem, but unexpected).

Any suggestions?

Hi, after updating to iClone 7.9 and updating to the latest NVidia drivers it seems to be ok now. Thanks. The log wasn't showing anything relevant - it said it was using the GPU, but it wasn't showing in Windows Task Manager and other tools. It's showing ok now in Task Manager. Interestingly it was using all my CPU cores before (ignoring the settings I had made under "Hardware Settings"), now it is sticking to the single core I assigned to it. Thanks for reminding me about the log, I found this information about the cores there. The log as shown in the screenshot is different from the log you get at the end, by the way.

So, from my perspective, this can be close.
