directed animation
e.g. set up a walk motion then designate a start and end point - would be good if setting waypoints created automatic spline which character would walk along and adjust to naturally is inclined/stepped/etc
Taking this further to events which could be place - eg. sit on chair, climb on horse, get in car, drink a cup of tea... all set on object which have associated motion control.
e.g. set character start point - set character 2nd way point near a car - then set car seat as 3rd way point.
character would walk from point 1 to 2 within intelligent blending then sit into the car automatically.
This may sound quite a lot, but I saw autodesk working on this for their 3dsMAx populate animation system years ago - iClone would be perfect for such a system, letting people control character by 'directing them' (obviously with the ability to layer animation ontop of this automation).
