Just want to leave my fix for a problem I had. I have had this problem in the past with other applications where a certain key mapping doesn't work, and on this occasion, the WASD mapping wasn't responding when I was trying to use them in Motion Director.
A common reason, and a reason that has caused issues for me in the past is that I have 3rd party programs (not part of Windows OEM) running hotkey mappings for an extended character set running in the background.
Fix is to turn those programs off, and if they are running as a service, stop the service. If there is no obvious way to do either of those things, it may be necessary to remove the program altogether.
I just want to add that this occurs in every version of Windows, and I have experienced it on Apple Mac, so it isn't a platform specific issue.
Hello eddie22345,
Yes, if you have third-party programs installed that affect hotkeys in IC, or you can go to the "Hotkey Manager" and change the hotkey settings to keys that are not being intercepted.
Thank you.
