UDIMS for non CC4 models.
Hi team, before the request, I have a cheer here. Being working as freelancer for the last 20 years and at the beginig of 2024 decided to test CC4.
I worked for those two decades with "main stream" software. And let me tell you I was really surprised about CC4 since the first moment... so surprised that a year later I dediced to go for i Clone also... This two programs are bringing me closer again to character animation, mocap etc. Forks of 3d that I pushed away a long time ago. Is that so, that I'm suggesting and showing the software to my sculpting students (I have an online small school with around 120 students yearly)
Now the suggestion:
I have characters and props I made with UDIMS, Previous to buying CC4. In fact, now that my main rendering tool (Marmoset toolbag5) supports UDIMS, I'll be more likely working with udims on the next projects.
And support answered me, that only CC4 base character's udims are supported at this time. But would be great, just as in MTB5... Draging the udims textures to each channel and have my characters that were made with no CC4 base models, come to life textured inside CC4 and iClone.
Well thats all, I'm very happy with the software you made and working to make it part of my day to day workflow.
