Tessellated Hair does strange things to avatar

Not really a big deal, except for figuring out what was happening! Avatar with tessellated hair makes his face squish inward.

Ok, in the mean time the steps are:
turn autosmooth ON for the eyes, then turn it off, then back on. That's the steps I'll be doing in the video, so maybe that'll help
