Tags can hide a number of entries as One, piled on top of each other.
It is easy to screw up when adding tags in timeline.
Last night I kept having camera screwups. I'm not quite sure what I was doing, but under 1 switcher tag there were 2 to 4 camera switches. I started clicking and sliding them out to the side.
The same camera chosen can be applied to the same tag position many times as well. Left and right click both add to the switch tag pileups.
Maybe if there was a color change of the tag for more than one tag. Having more than one is where the problem appears to be.
Maybe a number showing to the side, on top of tag, or in parenthesis.
This was a problem in IC 5.5 as well. Tags on top of tags in the timeline. A real annoyance.
I appreciate the new tagging icon system for sure, because the tags are very conspicuous. Still, we need something to notify users of pileups of tags at the same or very close position to each other.
I would like to add the reason I mentioned
Maybe if there was a color change of the tag for more than one tag. Having more than one is where the problem appears to be.
There is no problem with one item associated with a tag. The problem is when you have more than one tag.
Some type of notice when a tag is positioned close enough to an existing tag would solve the problem.
If you receive such a notice...you know you have to deal with it.
The "not knowing" is the problem.

That could get rather confusing. I like the idea of a number showing up saying how many switches the camera is a part of. Or maybe also a button that reveals all the switches it is apart of.
