1 - since the iclone 7 the supersampling function continues to spoil the image when the scene contains glows, emissive, DOF and now with popcorn fx. in the case of the glows the supersampling generates additional boxes and alias when it should eliminate alias. in the case of the emissives generates undesirable artifacts in the image. the DOF is a special and cumulative case. which can amplify the problems, despite all the improvements, the masks are still quite visible for far and near blur but this is only noticed in complex situations of characters with scenarios. the same goes for the other problems I mentioned. this make me and another user discover the DSR hack, we just ignore the supersampling cause its dont work
2 - popcorn fx generate more mask artifacts when mixed with DOF and some popcorn fx effects dont are visible by alpha channel effects, in some cases dissapear tottaly.
I am having a rendering problem on 7.21. I am not quite sure what rendering feature is causing the problem. Please take a look at this frame this artifacts come out for a couple of frames and go away. This shot has DOF enabled. My Geforce Nvidia drivers are up to date after a clen install for my GTX1070 card.
