Realtime Engine Quality
I'm so so frustrated with iclone! On the one hand the user friendliness and time saving features are a dream come true and truly exceptional and on the other the poor quality of the real time engine in comparison with UE4 and Unity 5 make me want to cry, i clone has so much power to create but the final quality output is bellow par and i would be embarrassed to put a "real time iclone 6 machinema animation beside a UE4 machinema animation. Another gripe is the materials system which is still old gen the newer PBR metallic roughness model is much easier to use (which is true iclone) and produces much more realistic results, i know may be alone on this and its not your priority but this is still an accurate observation. I would just like to end by saying i don't hate your software i love it and i want to be the best it can be. I want to see it out there alongside other top tier applications.

This was the standard for real-time engines in 2013! ____ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EJC1edU3Y4 [infiltrator demo]

I love iclone but the render is vary sims 4 like. If iclone had an engine like unreal it would be a world class program not seen as a beginner intermediate program.
High end users would flock to iclone if it had unreal type abilities.

They are working on a PBR-supporting renderer.

I agree. I've been saying this for years. If you look at the forums you'll see that I've suggested that they replace their rendering engine with something like UE. Reallusion needs to get out of the rendering engine business and stick to the things that make iClone special for movie creation. The addition of the non-realtime rendering with Indigo is nice, but considering that UE4 looks as good or better in real-time is really saying something. And that's with 2013 technology too. Muvizu uses the Unreal engine for their rendering so I know it's possible.
