Props loose ability to rotate properly after FBX imported into iClone
This is only a problem when importing an FBX which has 2 or more objects.

At this point iClone is asking if you want to separate them.

Once imported, sub-props loose the ability to rotate beyond 360 degrees (we had that problem once with import through 3DX, which was fixed).

In addition if you select the prop and go to Animation > Rotation Order, it is grayed out.

I have enclosed 2 basic FBX files. One with single cylinder and another with 2 cylinders.

The single cylinder rotates just fine after FBX import.

But after importing 2 cylinders FBX, none of the sub-prop cylinders are rotating properly.

Just try to assign 500 degrees rotation by Z at some point on the timeline for any of them and play animation. The rotation would be reset to 140 degrees (500 - 360).

The only way to fix those cylinders now, is to export them back to Blender (via 3DX) delete the Empty root and import back to iClone one cylinder FBX at a time.

Hi 4u2ges,

I'm very sorry that it's a specification for now. There is a walkaround. Please pick sub-prop,open Timeline Transform track,right-click,choose Curve Editor > Convert to Curve Data, then set Rotate key. There is a UI bug for Rotation Order. You can pick other object, then pick sub-prop which convert to Curve Data,Rotation Order will enable.
