Released in Iray Render Plug-in v1.11
I meant to add a second picture to my comment... Again, the "Show Log" only opens up a list of which files failed. It would be very good to be able to see all the informational messages that have scrolled by in the progress window.
Three months later... This would still be a very useful capability. For example, I wonder if there is any more information in this list of messages. The log file generated when the render fails only provides a list the failed files ("frames") but gives no indication of why they failed.
+1 I agree with this request. Even if you have a successful render, it can be good to review the log. The "Complete" message could allow you to access the log file in a couple of ways. DESIGN SUGGESTION #1: 1.0) The "Return to Message Window" button that simply dismisses the "Complete" message and makes the Iray Batch Renderer window available. There you could scroll through the messages, and copy/paste the information into a text file. 1.1) Then you'd simply click the "X" to close out that Batch Renderer window when you're done. 1.2) I like that approach because I may want to look at the log, but not necessarily save it. DESIGN SUGGESTION #2: 2.0) "Save Log File" button that lets you save the log to a text file. 2.1) After saving the log file, the Batch Renderer window is dismissed. 2.2) I like design #1 better.
