Open Mouth unchecks when a color is selected

In the Materials List the Open Mouth unticks when you close the Select Color panel. You have to keep ticking it so see the changes.

OS: Windows 10

Instead I'm getting an unable to untick box bug and the mouth stays open till I hit the spacebar to play. 
So it's buggy in general. 
I'll try to make a video of it soon.
