Matte/Shadow Function needed in Iray for iClone - Can't export Shadows-only on selected props
We really need this rather than having to do more work to make props blue or green and have to key them out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vaUXdZzy0c Daz already has this going for themselves!

My aim is to Render/export characters with background alpha and custom matte shadows for Davinci Resolve/Fusion for Post Production.
Also making a plugin for Davinci Resolve for VFX would be an ideal move since it has its own 3D environment, they made it free for resolutions up to 1920 x 1080. The 3D camera tracker is unfortunately only available if people upgrade to the studio version.

Just to add how important this is for creating Realistic 2D Series assets.  If we rendered the sun from directly above and can export the shadows only it would give us all the ability in Cartoon Animator to skew the bottom of the shadow layer left or right basically simulating sunlight direction/animation for 2D. It may not be fully 100% realistic but it would give a major dynamic for easy shadow creation especially for the new 3D Rendered 2D asset series developers are making.

This would also be a big enhancement if not essential for developing realistic 2D content for the Marketplace as 2D scenes could have shadow layers that are semi transparent and work well over 2D characters or other objects.
