Make the automatic mapping to the epic skeleton with the Unreal Target Tool Preset setting in the FBX export work with reduced skeletons that use LOD2 LOD1 or Custom in the optimization sttings.
The automatic mapping to the epic skeleton with the Unreal Target Tool Preset setting in the FBX export of CC4 and IClone only works with the ActorBuild Template. But it does not work with the LOD Templates or if we remove bones with the custom setting.
This is very unexpected because the alternative Templates are for optimization for games so one would expect that it is compatible with the automatic mapping for the epic skeleton.
When I use the ActorBuild everything works as expected -> I get a Skeleton with a bone hierarchy and naming compatible with the epic rig.
To make the automatic mapping to the epic skeleton with the Unreal Target Tool Preset setting in the FBX export work with the game optimization would make the pipeline for games way better. The game optimization is not really useful with unreal like this at the moment.
