Issue 561
Include the option to select/change Content folder paths in the Preferences panel
At the moment users are forced to define the content folder paths during installation. If at some time it is necessary to move these folders to another drive then the user has only 2 options - uninstall the software and reinstall it using the new location. Or, worse still, edit the entries in the Windows registry. Both options are time consuming, and the second option is a minefield for the normal user.

I see this issue is still be ignored by Eallusion,. I'm having to reinstall ALL my software on both machine and it STILL force's the My documents folder, NO choice to select a storage drive of choice. It's 2024 and yopur just acting like dictators, I'm sorry BUT his type of hard nosed attitude really is not professional whem so many clients that spend a lot to get you afloat and you just fob them off

My C drive is a small SSD. At the iClone install time, there is no option to install content on a different drive, probably an error on my Registry :( So, for me it is becoming impossible to continue using iClone or Reallusion softwares...

With the huge amount of content available on the market, not having this feature is pretty crazy. Gigs and gigs of static content and version saves of your own projects filling up a directory that isn't possible to change is a weird design choice. I find that I spend way too much time copying over my entire custom folder from my laptop to the cloud share, and then moving a copy of that into my workstation install... Dear developers, people are mobile these days, we need full control of our project files, at least the ones we create ourselves in the custom folders.. I can live with the purchased stuff being locked down and doing double installations... but my project saves and self created custom content... Please, please free us from the Program files jail! :)

1+ from me on this too!

I definitely support the request and will add a vote for it.

Yes, we can edit the registry or use links and stuff like that. It's great to have workarounds, but they shouldn't be necessary, especially since it's been an occasional topic of conversation in the forum for several releases now. It's not a huge deal, but it's silly that it still exists, and it should be relatively straight-forward to address.
