In low light environments, such as cloudy or overcast conditions, blonde hair doesn't show its true colour.
When it's in low light environment such as cloudy or overcast, the hair colour doesn't show its true colour. Especially blonde hair.
How to reproduce: UE5.1.1 1. Export the character from CC4 to Unreal Engine 5 using HQ shaders. 2. Enable Lumen in the Global Illumination Method setting in the Project Settings: Rendering. 3. The blonde character will now have black hair on a cloudy day with low light.
If you turn that method off, it's fine. But I want to use Lumen on Global Illumination Method for more fine visual quality.
Actually can 100% confirmed it's caused by Lumen and whatever that LWHQ material is doing, I've noticed another material was exported, which is not LWHQ, if you use that instead, it seems to be fine, if the hair looks too thin/transparent, use set the opacity multiplier to something high.
But this is actually super frustrating, for software which costs a fortune and boasts it can do 'realistic', they could at least try to follow what Unreal is doing and set up materials that work with Lumen in any lighting conditions.

I have the same issue, I think it might have something to do with volumetric sky.

I used "Ultra Dynamic Sky" for the environment, which I think is a free download in Unreal Engine.
