When having any CC or G5/G6 male character "walk" from one position to the next, the feet slip and slide like the character is on skates. This has been a problem in iClone through several versions but it is particularly noticeable now. Various workarounds were available, supplied by the community or by Reallusion, but the foot slippage is so bad it requires major surgery on the timeline. The "ALIGN" commands do NOT work.
This should be a relatively easy thing to fix because at the time of the walk the program knows where the ground plane/terrain is located, where the character's feet are located at any given frame, etc. The usual fixes for this problem are either ineffective now or require so much work that one can spend many hours just getting the appearance of the walk to be realistic. Even Blender seems to have few problems getting a character to "walk" in a realistic fashion over ground.
Give characters "positive traction" for walk cycles. Most of the other animations I've used seem to work fine.
PLEASE FIX THIS....even though some of the more experienced/expert iClone users/animators know and shown some workarounds, this should not be something that needs to have a workaround. This slipping and sliding of feet has been around a long time....
