Issue 7820
Exported FBX bones have direction and height issues
1. Export default character as FBX.
2. Import into Blender with "automatic bone orientation".
Result, the base armature has bones poking in wrong directions

3. If you use "manual orientation" and "force connect children".
Result most bones aren't poking in funny directions, but the pelvis bone isn't pointing at the usual direction anymore.

4. Even if you use auto adjust foot height, it doesn't put character at 0, 0, 0, origin anymore.

I need to rig my character too, and CC's armature ALWAYS have arms and legs that are too straight. Ajusting Tpose in CC makes more bones poking in funny directions.

Hi path.to.the.future,

Thanks for your feedback!
I did reproduce your issue via the settings you mentioned.
But if I didn't tick either Automatic or Manual, I'll get the correct result.
Could you tell us what workflow you plan to do leads you must tick that two checkbox?
I can discuss your requirement with Dev team.

Calvin
Reallusion.
