E-on Software Vue Intergration into Iclone 6/3DExchange
Hello Reallusion
I have recently have had the pleasure of working with E-on Software's Vue 2015 software which allows for some great environment generation and creation. As Iclone 6 is my daily driver for character animation I would for there to be some sort of integration from Vue into Iclone as this would mean I would have a much better workflow allowing me to complete more of my work within IClone 6 itself. I have attached a photo of album art for a music album that I made using Iclone and Vue with my current workflow. The character was created in Character Creator with some assets from Daz Studio then posed in Iclone and rendered out with IndigoRT. A Scene was then created in Vue and also rendered out. Both were then brought into Photoshop so that they could be added together and blended to allow each scene to match each other. Additional colour correction was then added on top of the corrections to create the final look. If there was some way of importing Vue Scenes into Iclone 6 so that once rendered the only colour correction I am making is to get the look I am after rather than to blend the layers that would be great. A function such as this would also be a huge help for animation as I would allow large environments to directly animated on with Iclones powerful animation tools which is a area that native Vue software is lacking.

Thank You for you time

Kind Regards
Dominic C

I thought Vue was very polygon heavy so not particularly suited to use in an animation environment? Maybe the efficiency has improved but I found it difficult to work with.

I work extensively with VUE as well. I would be quite happy if I could take Iclone's camera movement and import it to VUE. You could create you shot in Icone. Take the camera and import it to VUE. Then shoot the scene in VUE and the camera would be perfectly coordinated with the shot. Similar to the camera tracking down in Hollywood screens. Then you really would not have to import the VUE objects and scenes into Iclone.

Hi Dominic C,

it might be useful for Reallusion to know a bit about the Vue 2015 software, in this case: which file formats does it provide for saving/exporting the Scenes?

Maybe they will be able to include a conversion process to iClone.

cheers,
