There are some tedious DAZ workarounds to get the Genesis 8.1 characters to import. However, it would be easier for CC4 to import the figures. To get a Genesis 8.1 shape to load the root node needs to be named from "Genesis8_1Female" to "Genesis8Female" or "Genesis8_1Male" to "Genesis8Male" in DAZ. Why not just accept Genesis8_1Female and Genesis8_1Male? To get the 8.1 textures to load, the head and body textures and surface map need to be combined into a torso surface in DAZ. Only the torso surface needs to change to "Base Female" or "Base Male" UV. The default 8.1 UVs on the other surfaces don't need to change. On import, CC4 takes the torso surface and converts it to a head (BackSkull) and a body surface. Why not create skin gen tools that load the default 8.1 head and body maps? The 8.1 eyelashes have been separated into "Eyelashes" and "Tear" whereas both are contained in the 8 eyelashes. So the 8.1 eyelashes and tear need to be deleted and the Genesis 8 eyelashes need to be applied before exporting in order for the imported shape to retain eyelashes. Here the 8.1 eyelashes should be recognized and optionally the 8.1 "Tear" could be imported as CC4 "Tear Line"
