Creating a Transform Path & editing

When creating a transform path for the character i cannot seem to go back and edit the path, i have followed the information on the following link: http://manual.reallusion.com/CrazyTalk_Animator_3/ENU/Pipeline/Default.htm#Resources/CTA3/08_Animation/Creating_a_Path_Animation.htm%3FTocPath%3DAnimations%7CAnimation%2520Concepts%7C_____4
but this is still not allowing the character to have a new path.
is there anyway to turn of the automatic path when moving the character and turning on when its time to animate all the characters?
