Crashing when rendering animation in iRay

I select iRay render window. I select the range from 1 to 200. I select either Save MI scene or iRay Standalone Render (Save MI Scene). The progress bar gets stuck at one percent (1%) and then shows not responding nad then crashes later on.

I'm at my wits end trying to figure out why this is happening. I have scenes that I want to render in iRay. Was this a bad investment? Please help.

OS: Windows 10
